Police seized 1.5 crore ganja

Sri Nagar, July 24: Police officials have been seized huge consignment of ganja worth over Rs. 1.5 crores here on Monday.

The officials have been seized from a truck and arrested the kingpin and seven other members of an inter-state gang under Sri Nagar police outpost area in this district.

According to Police Superintendent Nishant Kumar Tiwari said here that 950 kgs of ganja worth more than Rs 1.5 crore were seized from a truck on Purnea-Araria road following a specific intelligence input.

He said the kingpin and seven other members of the inter-state gang who were following the truck on a jeep were arrested from the spot.
