Pranab Mukherjee farewell in Parliament

New Delhi, July 23: President Pranab Mukherjee will be felicitated today by MPs. The farewell program has been kept at the Central Hall of Parliament. There is only now two days left in Pranab Mukherjee's tenure. New President Ramnath Kovind will take oath on July 25.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan gave a farewell speech in the President's farewell program. During this, he announced the political career of President Pranab Mukherjee. His achievements were counted as well.

In his farewell address, Mukherjee extended his best wishes to all members of the armed forces and their families. He also paid tributes to the martyrs and their families for their sacrifices for the nation.



After the farewell of Pranab Mukherjee, Ramnath Kovind will be welcomed at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 25. On the day, Ramnath Kovind will take oath in the Central Hall of Parliament House.

He will be the 14th President of India. He has defeated former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar in the presidential election. Kovind got nearly twice the number of votes from UPA candidate Meira Kumar.
