Engineering seats filled in Telangana

Hyderabad, July 23: The Final phase of Web counselling has been completed as many as 12,264 engineering convener seats are vacant in 201 engineering colleges and university colleges have 19 vacancies.

The final phase of seat allotment for candidates through Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test was on Saturday.

This year, while 76 colleges have registered 100 per cent seat allotment and one college got zero admission. Candidates who have been allotted seats have to report at the college on or before July 29.

The number of vacancies could go up as all candidates who have been allotted seats may not join the colleges. During the first phase counselling, 13,559 candidates have not reported to colleges even though were given a seat.

About 152 B Pharmacy seats are allotted and 2869 are vacant after final phase web counselling for MPC candidates whereas, in Pharm D course, 454 seats are vacant.

The Engineering courses,Information Technology got filled 98.34% of seats,CSE-91.39%, ECE-82.59%, Civil Engg- 80.77%, Mechanical-69.74%, EEE-65.84% respectively.

The last date for income certificate update for claiming fee reimbursement at any help line center is July 27.
