TS govt appeals verdict in Akbaruddin Owaisi case

Hyderabad, July 23: As we knew that, Akbaruddin Owaisi was attacked on April 30, 2011, by assailants with knives, who later opened fire at him.

From this aspect, The Telangana state government has filed two appeals before the Hyderabad High Court, challenging the trial court judgment that acquitted 10 people in the Akbaruddin Owaisi attack case, here on Saturday.

They filled two appelas against the acquittal of Mohammed Omar bin Yafai, alias Mohammed Pahelwan, and nine others from the case of attempt to murder MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi.

In the first appeal, the government challenged the acquittal and in another it challenged the 10 years of imprisonment awarded by the trial court to the accused Hasan, Abdullah, Wahed and another person in the case.
