SC/ST women to get petrol pumps

New Delhi, July 20: An allotment was made today. Dharmendra Pradhan Oil Minister yesterday presented the allotment letters of 195 petrol pumps to women and SC/ST community.

Minister has said that "the government will increase the number of outlets distributed for the weaker sections of society. He also said that "Indian Constitution is the only guide for administration. Upliftment of SC/ST communities is a constitutional duty for us".

sources say that the government wants to increase the number of outlets run by SC/ST to 20 % from current 11%. Currently, there are 54,826 outlets in the country.

He said that we have launched a new scheme under which women will be provided loans to build their own outlets and run them so that their empowerment takes place.
