AP Court buildings to be shined with LED bulbs

Hyderabad, July 20: The District Court buildings in the Andhra Pradesh state will be shined by the LED lights. Andhra Pradesh Fuel, Infrastructure and Investment Corporation Chief Secretary Ajay Jain issued the orders on Wednesday approving the LED project worth of Rs 6.89 crore.

The central government's Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has asked the Common High Court permission to take up fuel efficiency measures in the courthouse buildings.

Expressing satisfaction over the proposed scheme, the High Court allowed EESL to conduct experimental implementation in court buildings of Visakhapatnam. At the same time, the High Court also approved the ESSL proposal for setting up LED bulbs in the courts of 12 other districts.

Firstly, the cost of the project will be paid by ESSL.Later, ESSL will get the invested money from the power savings of LED bulbs from the duration of 1-3 months.

Ajay Jain said that the LED bulbs would be set up in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur and Chittoor district court buildings.
