Coastal Guards rescue 9 fishermen

Krishnapatnam, Andhra Pradesh: A rescue operation was conducted recently. Indian Coast Guard (ICG) forces have rescued 9 fishermen from a fire-affected boat off the coast here in Andhra Pradesh on July 18.

Sources say that ICG around 7.30 pm yesterday has received a message from the Marine Police and fisheries authorities that a fishing boat was spotted with fire in the Mayapadu beach.

The forces have immediately reached the spot and have assisted the marine police to rescue the fisherman and bring them back to the sea shore.

Sources say that the fire has erupted in the boat when a cylinder has exploded while cooking food. Finally the fishermen have expressed thanks for the forces for rescuing them and they have said that the boat was heavily damaged and it sank into the sea.
