Manufacturing jobs least paid :Monster Survey

New Delhi July 19: A survey report was released yesterday. Monster India has released a report on the salaries paid to the different work force of the country.

* Manufacturing is the lowest paid sector.

* The hourly salary decreased by 16.0% in past few years and it stood low in 2016.

* Currently manufacturing output contributes about 16%
to the overall Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

* Every year nearly 12%-13% of the labor force is employed in this sector.

* Supervisors and superior employees earn 34.7% more than their subordinates.

* Employees satisfaction has increased with pay from 50.8% to 53.5%.

* The highest hourly salary has been paid in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance Sector in 2016.

* IT, Healthcare, Caring services and Social Work sector, Education are
paid moderately.

Finally, the report has said that government must focus on imparting skills to youth in manufacturing sector so that Automation doesn't drive away the future jobs and market.
