New Delhi, July 17: A data was revealed yesterday. The government officials have submitted the status of digital transactions post demonetization to the parliamentary panel. The main highlights of the report submitted are
* Total Digital transactions saw an increase of 23 % post note ban
* The transactions are done using debit cards and credit cards increased marginally by 7%
* The total digital transaction stood at 27.5 Million in May 2017
* The number of digital transaction in NOV 2016 stood at 22.4 million.
* Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions witnessed a huge jump from one million per day in November 2016 to 30 million in May 2017.
* Transactions through IMPS or Immediate Payment Service almost doubled to 2.2 million from 1.2 million.
* The total number of transactions done using plastic cards have increased from 6.8 million in November 2016 to 7.3 million in May 2017.
