Prices in Railway stations reduced

New Delhi, July 11: The central government will take some precautions to avoid the high prices of foodstuffs in the big commercial complexes, restaurants and the theaters that will be set up as part of the railway rehabilitation program.

A quarter of each of the selected stations will have to sell the food items at the rates recommended by the Railway. The Railways is aiming to provide world class facilities in about 400 stations in the country.

In the first phase, tenders were already invited for 23 stations. Railway spaces are leased to the commercial basis for 45 years and are available for development. Many Malaysian companies are interested in it.
