Modi urges states to focus

New Delhi, July 11: A review meeting took place yesterday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday has met all the chief secretaries and officers of union government yesterday. PM has urged the states and union territories CS to implement the following.

* Share their best governance practices.
* Expand the use of Aadhaar to eliminate diversion of benefits meant for the poor.
* Direct benefit transfer of subsidies.
* Improve ease of doing business.
* Less cash-based economy.
* Reforms in the agriculture sector.
* Promoting entrepreneurship.

The chief secretaries have given a presentation to PM Modi the best schemes being implemented in their states in following sectors

# Public distribution.
# Clean energy.
# Good Governance.
# Ease of doing business.
# Agriculture and health.

The meeting was organized by Niti Aayog CEO of governments Think tank has said that we have ranked the states based on the presentation given. He has also said that this meeting has unveiled the spirit of Cooperative federalism so that all states and center can work together for developing India.

Arvind Panagariya told media that PM has asked the states to focus on Ease of doing business and outcome oriented welfare programs. Let's hope that all states seek guidance from other states so that country can be developed.
