Lower berths set up for Disabled people in 3rd AC Coach

New Delhi, July 10: The Railways Department has decided to allocate the lower berths in third-tier AC Coach as part of providing facilities to disabled people during the journey.

This method has currently existed in the Sleeper class only.The Railway dept going to introduce the quota for disabled persons third-tier AC boxes of mail and express trains.

In this perspective, A Railway Ministry official said,"We need to make the necessary changes in computer software for the disabled people."

The Railways minister Suresh Babu has ordered the officials to inquiry the incident of Disabled athlete Ms.Suvarnaraj, who was unable to reach the upper berth and lying on the floor in the Nagpur-Nizamuddin Garibrath Express.

Ms. Raj said she was pleased the government was taking action but said facilities for disabled people desperately needed to be improved.

Minister Suresh has ordered that next time such situation would appear and any more and have been ordered to take preventive measures, he added.

Finally, He decided ti set up the quota for the disabled persons in third tier AC class.The official notification will be released in next week.
