India as a No.1 player in the world

Washington, July 9: A report was published yesterday. World Bank has published a report regarding Indian climate change recently. The major highlights of the report are

* India is emerging as a No.1 player in the world to fight against the climate change.

* The country is rapidly adopting solar power and displacing coal as an energy source.

* The country has also adopted innovative solutions for financing solar power schemes.

* Asian country has also taken sweeping reforms to reduce power losses so that 24X7 power is available to all people.

* India has best conditions to generate more solar power such as 300 days of sunshine every year.

Finally, the report has said that the Country is delivering results on climate change and not just reiterating stand that it is committed to Paris agreement.
