Cocaine drug racket busted

Hyderabad, July 09: The Police officials have been arrested the another gang who involves cocaine peddlers, here on Saturday.

While going to details, The two, Mohammed Zeeshan Ali alias Jack, 23, of Mehdipatnam and Nigerian National Bernard Wilson alias Williams alias Noah Prank, 26, were caught with 12 gm of cocaine, each gram costing over Rs 10,000, from near two prominent star hotels in Begumpet and Banjara Hills.

Five grams of cocaine was seized from Ali, an event manager, and manager of Hotel Moghal Bawarchi, while seven grams of cocaine was seized from Williams, who claimed he was pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Application (BCA) course from Osmania University.

Officials said the anonymous caller had ringed up the toll-free number (1800-425-2523) and informed that a person was moving suspiciously near a star hotel in Begumpet and gave a description of the person, Based on this, around 6.30 pm on Friday, Special Task Force (STF) teams of the Excise nabbed Ali.

Based on Ali's inputs, Williams was caught from near another star hotel in Banjara Hills when he was allegedly trying to deliver the contraband to a client. However, the client, also an event manager, managed to escape from the spot, said N A Ajay Rao, Joint Commissioner, Excise.
