Food Processing Ministry organizes a roadshow

Chandigarh, India July 8: An event was organized yesterday. Union Ministry of Food Processing on July 7 has organised a road show in Chandigarh. India would be participating in a global food fair to be held in November 2017.

The main aim of the roadshow was to create awareness among the industry and farmers so that they can showcase their products in the globe. 'World Food India 2017' will be a 3-day event organized by Food Processing Ministry and CII.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal Food processing Minister and other senior government officials have attended the event conducted yesterday. Food Processing Minister has said that "the country has a vast scope in food processing sector and we will ensure that farmers income is doubled in 5 years by 2022". Badal has also said that we will create 5 lakh jobs and 25 lakh farmers would be benefited by setting up of 42 mega food parks.
