UP distributes Family Planning Gifts

Lucknow, July 7: A special gift will be issued by state government officials. Uttar Pradesh Government is planning to issue a Special Kit for newly married couples and the scheme will be launched on World Population Day on July 11. The gift kit will include the following

* Family planning messages
* Condoms
* Oral contraceptive pills.
* A letter explaining the importance of family planning and spacing between children.
* Pack of towels
* Handkerchief
* Nail-cutter
* Comb
* Mirror set
* Information brochures with illustrations

Sources say that the kits will be distributed by ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers. Finally, the government hopes that the kit given would reduce the population of the state.
