Economy AC coaches in Railways?

New Delhi July 3: A good news for train passengers. Indian Railways will soon Introduce Economy AC class in the trains. Officials say that the cost of new class AC coaches would be lesser than the normal 3AC tariff.

Sources say that IR is considering a proposal to for introduction of full AC train which will have three-tier Economy AC coaches besides AC-3, AC-2, and AC-1 classes. They are planning to introduce an additional feature of automatic doors and the temperature of coaches will be 24-25 degrees so that passengers don't require blankets.

Currently, Trains such as Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and newly Introduced Tejas, HumSHumsafar express have fully Air Conditioned coaches.The Railways is also planning to upgrade the existing facilities so that passengers can have a better travel experience at a reasonable price. Let's hope that the proposal is accepted so that transformation in Indian Railways can take place.
