Around 32,392 AP Students qualified in NEET

Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati, July 3: Here is the great news, which can be made the Andhra Pradesh State feels proud.Mostly 32,392 students from Andhra Pradesh have qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET) for MBBS course, whereas 27,075 students have qualified from Telangana.

The Minister for Medical and Health Education Kamineni Srinivas announced the results of AP students at NTR Health University here in Vijayawada on Sunday.

He said that nearly 11 lakh students had applied for the NEET-2017 and more than 6 lakh students have qualified all over India.

Explaining about the delay in announcing results, the Minister said that the CBSE authorities had asked the States governments to release the results for their respective regions.

It is for the first time that results got delayed, the Minister further added. He also released the rankers list from the State and announced that they would release the notification for filling the seats on Monday. Convener quota seats would be filled in the first phase.

Nearly, 2,927 seats would be filled under the convener quota, 730 seats under the management quota and 343 seats under the NRI quota in the State, the Minister said.

This time, all the first three rankers from the State are girls. Narreddy Manvitha secured 14 ranks in the NEET and stood first from the State with 685 marks. Pavuluri Sai Swetha stood second and got 36 rank with 678 marks and Balantrapu Phani Sri Lasya bagged the third rank (51) with 675 marks.

Minister for SCs and STs Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu and University VC Ravi Raju and others participated.
