AP Health Minister urged to take precautions against Malaria

Andhra Pradesh: Amaravati, July 1: The AP govt has planning to release a new legislation on mosquitoes to control and prevent the spread of mosquito-born diseases in the State.

A three-member Appellate Authority would be constituted to bring a detailed legislation, within a couple of days.

The proposal would be placed in the cabinet, at its next sitting, announced Kamineni Srinivas, Minister for Health and Medical Education, on Friday, in a review meeting with the concerned departments on the spread of mosquito-born viral fevers in the state. In this meeting, the Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh also participated.

It is worth to mention here that, the government intensified controlling measures against the spread of viral fevers in the state, after the death of 16 tribal people in a single village in East Godavari and the out breaking of Anthrax in Visakhapatnam agency.

The state government has been already implementing a program to control the mosquito breeding, in the name of "Domalapai Dandayatra".

The minister directed the officials to identify the villages and urban areas, which were suffering from the mosquito-born diseases like malaria, dengue, and others.

He directed officials to enumerate all the fever cases in the online, so as to identify easily and take precautions.
