Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, June 29: As we know that, The raging issue across the country, which is none other than GST(Goods and Services Tax).
The Andhra Pradesh Footwear Association has called for a bandh on June 30 in a protest against the 18% GST.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Chukkapalli Arun Kumar and Teja Bodepudi, president and a member of the Association respectively said that the tax has been increased from 6% to 18% in case of goods with prices over Rs. 500.
This hike will be a burden on the consumers as 60% of the products fell into this category. Such steep hike could also lead to a drop in sales.
They said around 700 people will be participating in the rally on Friday.
