KCR thanks to Union Minister Harsh Vardhan

Hyderabad, June 28: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has called on Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Harsh Vardhan and thanked him for giving forest clearances to the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, here on Tuesday.

Accompanied by TRS Floor Leader in the Lok Sabha A.P. Jithender Reddy and Special Representative of the Telangana Government in New Delhi S. Venugopalachary, the Chief Minister met the Union Minister at the latter's office chambers at Paryavaran Bhavan and thanked him for giving clearance for utilization of 7,920 acres of forest land for the Kaleshwaram project.

Mr. Venugopalchary later told the media persons that the Chief Minister invited the Union Minister to the inauguration of the second phase of the Haritha Haram program in July and also extend funding for plantation of 230 crore saplings/seedlings as part of the scheme.
