Wipro Chairman Azim Premji to receive Carnegie Medal

NewYork, June 24: An award will be given soon. 2017 Carnegie Medal will be received by Wipro Chairman Azim Premji. The award is considered as one of the most prestigious prize in Philanthropy.

He will be awarded the medal for his efforts to reform India’s public school system. Company chairman has founded Azim Premji Foundation. He is among the 9 recipients recognized for their marvelous and innovative leadership in philanthropy.

Carnegie Corporation said that Premji has transformed Wipro into a leading international corporation. He has brought many initiatives to improve the country’s public school system. he has modified around 3,00,000 schools and is soon to expand.
