Hyderabad June 24: As we knew that, The NDA party has been nominated Ram Nath Kovind As a presidential candidate, from this decision many of the leaders has been opposed the ruling party, and some of the parties have encouraged the move.

But here the Telangana Congress leaders have been questioned Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's decision to support the NDA’s Presidential candidate, Ram Nath Kovind, who they said has RSS background and opposes reservation for Muslims and Christians.

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy, who spoke to reporters here on Friday, said anti-minority mindset of Mr. KCR was evident and he only cares for their votes and not their future.

Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy said Mr. Kovind had rejected the recommendations of Ranganath Mishra Commission that suggested 10% reservation for Muslims and 5% for Christians. "How can the Chief Minister support such a candidate?" he asked and appealed to the MPs and MLAs to vote as per their conscience.

Mr. Jaipal Reddy said the Presidential contest was not between two individuals and the UPA candidate, Meira Kumar, reflected the Constitutional spirit while Mr. Ram Nath Kovind was an unknown person and reflects the RSS background.
