One arrested, for robbing 3.5 Kgs of Gold

Kurnool, June 23: The police have arrested a person, who stole the gold from a jeweler's house in Kolikuntla main bazar in Kurnool district here on Thursday.

While coming to details, the accused identified as Bollipalli Siva Kumar for allegedly burgling the house of a jeweler.

The Police have recovered three-and-a-half kg of gold and Rs. 15 lakh from him on Thursday.

Producing the accused and the recovered cash and jewelry before the media in his office here, Superintendent of Police A. Ravikrishna said Siva Kumar of Julepalle village in Gospadu Mandal was accused in five burglary cases in Guntakal in Anantapur district,

He was arrested at the Kundu bridge at Y junction in Koilkuntla, the SP said.

The victim is a jeweler, Pendekanti Anjaneyulu, who had gone with family to Hyderabad returned on June 18 to detect the burglary and lodged a police complaint.
