Free Transportation to students

Hyderabad June 20: A good news for the Students, As govt providing free transportation for the students.

Coming to matter, Soon, students living in localities that have no schools will be able to avail free transport to reach their institutes.

According to the Right to Education Act, 2009, Telangana school education department will offer the facility to 17,619 students living in 1,404 localities in larger towns and cities without schools during the 2017-18 academic year.

A government order (GO) was issued by special chief secretary to the government (education), Ranjeeva Acharya, on Monday.

The GO stated that the government will spend Rs 5.28 crore to provide transportation in autos and vans to 4,304 primary students and 13,315 upper primary students.

During the survey conducted by the department, it ducted by the Department, it was found that of 1,404 areas, 385 did not have any primary schools and 1,035 did not have any upper primary school.
