KCR meets Governor

Hyderabad, June 17: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday called on Telugu States Governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan.

A series of land transactions here that has exposed loopholes in the stamps and registration department has resulted in major political slugfest apart from casting a shadow on the realty market.

The issue has turned extremely knotty, causing a major embarrassment for the KCR government in Telangana.

As the probe agencies look deeper, each day seems to reveal a new perspective on the scam. The Opposition is looking to corner the government, demanding a CBI probe.

The Chief Minister explained Governor the government proposal to promulgate ordinances to check spurious seeds, food adulteration and gambling in the State.

KCR convened a cabinet meeting to discuss these issues on Saturday at Pragathi Bhavan.

In the meeting, they discussed that It was reported by the CM about the GST. He said high taxes on certain goods were taken to the Center. The Union Environment Ministry has allocated the allocation of forest land for the Kaleshwaram project.
