KCR about Land Scam Issue

Hyderabad June 14: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, at last, commented on the Land scam which went viral in Telangana here on Tuesday.

He said that there was no need for a CBI probe with regard to the encroachment of lands at Miyapur and other places.

KCR held a high-level review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on the alleged land scams unearthed in Miyapur, Samshabad, Balanagar and Ibrahimpatnam. He said 810 acres of government land which was allegedly occupied by private persons has not been registered under transfer of land.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said that neither a single acre of government land was occupied illegally by anyone nor the government has lost revenue in the alleged illegal registration of lands.

The Chief Minister instructed the authorities to approach Supreme Court directly on the ownership of lands which were in litigation.

Several cases were pending in the apex court on the ownership of jagir lands as the encroachers have created fake documents on the particular lands and claimed ownership, he said.
