Telangana has to pay Rs.3000 Crores to AP : Kala Venkatarao

Amaravati, June 13: The Andhra Pradesh Minister for Electricity Kala Venkata Rao stated here on Monday at Kanipakam, The Telangana State has to pay up to Rs 3,000 crores to the AP Govt.

He said that there was no dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State with regard to power issues. He said that the matter pertaining to power distribution would be dealt with by the officials concerned of the two States and solved amicably soon.

While speaking to the media here, the Minister said that the triangular stalemate among AP, TS and Singareni Collieries led to the stoppage of power to TS from Sunday last.



He opined that the situation was the result of lack of coordination among the officials of both sides in settling the dues.

He said that a letter was also addressed to Governor Narasimhan and Union Electricity Minister Piyush Goyal in this regard to arriving at an early conclusion.
