Contract employees to get hike in salaries

Amaravati, June 13: The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a G.O on Monday to hike the salaries up to 50% for contract based employees in various government departments.

The government has decided to raise wages for contract employees after discussions at the cabinet meeting on last month. As part of this, the Finance Ministry has issued a 50 percent increase in salaries. Accordingly, any of the contract employees will be paid a salary of less than Rs 12,000 per month.

The government said the wage hike is just a consolidated amount and they will not get any allowances anymore. It is clear that this order does not applicable to the outsourcing employees serving in government departments.

The ordinance also states that no branch of government should not recruit contract employees without the approval of the Finance Ministry.
