GST council delivers good news for customers

New Delhi, June 11: A good news for consumers.The GST Council in its 16 Th meeting has reduced the tax rates on 66 items. The tax on following items have been reduced

*Kitchen items (12% earlier 18 %).
*Pickles(12 % earlier 18 %).
*Mustard Sauce (12% earlier 18 %).
*Movie tickets costing Rs 100 and below have been lowered and will attract 18 % instead of 28 %.
*Children's drawing books will attract 0 % compared to 12 per cent proposed earlier.
*Computer printers prices will be reduced as the tax has been reduced to 18 per cent.
*Insulin and Agarbatti will be levied a 5 per cent,
*Kajal has been lowered to 18 per cent from 28 per cent.
*Cashew revised from 12% to 5%.

The Finance Minister has spoken to media after the meeting and said that next meeting will be on June 18 and we will take up lottery taxes and e-way bill.
