Railway station turns as Airport

Bhopal, June 9: With advanced technology and modern facilities, Habibganj railway station near Bhopal is going to be developed as Airport with the cost of Rs 1,00 crore.

It is the first time in the country history that the project is being implemented in the public and private partnership (PPP).

Bansal Group will be handed over to the managerial responsibility of the station for eight years. In fact, on June 9, the foundation should be laid for the development work.

Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu postponed his visit as the agitations of farmers in Madhya Pradesh are currently underway. If the Habibganj project is successful, the Railways plans to develop another 400 A 1 and A class stations across the country through PPP policy.

Railways Development Corporation (IRSDC) has already initiated efforts to restore Chandi Ghar, Anandvihar in Delhi, Surat in Gujarat, Gandhinagar, and in Punjab.

Specialties in the Station are...

* For travelers to wait, For the travelers who are traveling will have different paths and for those who go out after completing the journey also. Special attention is paid to the convenience of disabled people.

* Electricity required for the station will be developed using solar energy to ensure environmental protection.

* The station consists of six lifts, 11 escalators, three travelators and four meter wide tunnels for passenger travel.

* They are going to build a parking space for 300 cars, 850 bicycles, rickshaws, taxis, and buses.

* In Emergency Situation everyone can move within 4 minutes and can reach a secure place in six minutes.

* Railway will look after all these issues relating to Signals, issuing Tickets, Transportation of Parcels.
