Newyork June 9: A breach of privacy may soon take place very soon.Popular social media Platform Facebook has been granted a patent.Sources say that the patent was awarded to the company for its desire to spy its users through their webcam or smartphone camera. The company wants to secretly observe mood of users when they watch various contents on its platform.

Experts say that this new footage recorded secretly will help the company to remove obscene or unwarranted contents by recognizing the emotions such as happy, sad and others.The main gainers of this technology would be advertisers because it would indirectly help them because of the advertisements posted on the Facebook.

Social Media website has assured that the data recorded would be kept secret and would not be allowed for commercial purposes.the company has filed several patents before but they were rejected but its latest passive emotion based technology got approval.
