Indian Railways to transfer reservation tickets

New Delhi, June 7: A good news for Indian railway customers.
soon Indian Railways will allow passengers to transfer their confirmed reservation tickets to any other family member.

Railways have modified rules regarding the transfer of railway ticket. The railways said that the passengers can request for the change in the name of the ticket only once.

1) Government servants can transfer tickets to others when they hand
over a written application.

2) Passengers must submit an application for a request in writing 24
hours prior to the scheduled departure of the train to transfer their
reservation to another member of his family, which includes Father,
Mother, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Husband, and Wife.

3) Students can change the reservation made on the ticket to another
student of the same educational institute upon the request letter
written by Head of The institution makes a request 48 hours before
the departure of the train.

4) Passengers of a marriage party can transfer tickets if Head of such
the party makes a request in writing 48 hours before the scheduled
the departure of the train.

5) National Cadet Corps can also change the name or transfer the tickets
based on a written request by the head of the group 24 hours before
the departure of the train.

Finally, the above modifications would help the passengers who travel in the group.
