Nalgonda Collector launches DKIC centers

Hyderabad, June 6: The Nalgonda District Collector Gaurav Uppal has launched District Knowledge and Innovation Centres (DKICs) here on Monday, which will help officials analyze the implementation of welfare schemes and correct mistakes.

Speaking after launching a DKIC at the District Collectorate, Uppal said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao decided to set up DKICs in all districts with an intention that there should be a special mechanism procedure for preparation of development plans.

The centers will analyze data collected through comprehensive household survey and carefully prepare plans for the development of districts and welfare of the people, he said.

"The Asset Maps, which the centers will prepare, will helpful in proper utilization of resources," he said.

Uppal also said experts will conduct researches on the issues that the district faces and draft solutions using data available with the administration.

The DKIC centers will also offer suggestions to the district administration to correct flaws in government schemes and programs.This will cover the implementation of welfare schemes and development programs.

DKICs will come out with micro-development plans for the districts of the State, he said.

District Information Officer Ganapathi Rao and others also attended the inauguration.
