Minor held for assaulting 11 yrs old child

Hyderabad, June 6: The Ghatkesar police arrested a 14 yrs old student for allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy from his neighborhood here on Monday.

While coming to details, The accused was a class 8 student from Balaji Nagar in Ghatkesar while the victim is a class 6 student from the same area. Both their fathers work as drivers.

On Sunday evening, while a group of boys was playing at a ground in Balaji Nagar, then boy took the victim to an isolated place nearby and sodomized him, Ghatkesar inspector B Prakash said.

After the victim complained of pain at night to his parents, they enquired about it. "The victim then told his parents what had happened and they lodged a complaint with us on Monday. We have sent the victim for medical examination," the inspector said.

Police booked a case against the accused under Section 377 of the IPC and the POCSO Act. The offender will be produced before the juvenile justice board on Tuesday.
