YS Rajashekhara Reddy in Bharat Ratna Race?

Vijayawada, June 06: At a time when the ruling TDP is striving hard to confer India's top civilian award Bharata Ratna on matinee idol and TDP founder NT Rama Rao posthumously, the opposition YSR Congress party also came out with a similar demand to give the award to former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh YS Rajashekhara Reddy.

Interestingly, the demand has come from a leader from Prakasam district and not from the YSR Congress party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Giddalur assembly constituency party in charge moved a resolution in the meeting demanding for Bharata Ratna to YSR and all leaders approved instantly.

The leaders felt that YSR launched several welfare schemes and developmental programs more than NTR during his rule in the state. The departed leader deserved the award as all section of people owned YSR as their leader.
