Kejriwal Warned by Constable

New Delhi, June 6: The security agencies of New Delhi went into a tizzy after a Delhi Police constable allegedly called the police control room and threatened to kill Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday Night.

Coming to Details, The Drunken constable was identified as Vikas Kumar, who is deployed with the Delhi Police’s seventh battalion in Malviya Nagar.

Investigator said 'Constable Vikas Kumar made a call to the Rohini district’s police control room and said he was going to murder Kejriwal, on Friday night. Later 'He also revealed his name and designation,' investigator said.

Constable was questioned by a joint team of Intelligence Bureau (IB), local police and special cell, the constable claimed that 'he made the bogus call after getting drunk.'

After some time the control room staff called back to the number, where the phone was found to be switched off. Immediately, The security agencies were alerted, and a local police team brought Vikas for questioning.



At the time of Interrogation, First, he claimed that the call was made by an unknown Person whom he had offered a lift on his motorcycle and given his phone to make an 'emergency call'.

Rishi Pal, DCP (Rohini) said 'But he broke down under sustained interrogation and revealed that it was he who had made the call.'

Vikas allegedly claimed that he was heavily drunk after having a domestic quarrel.'

An investigator said 'The quarrel had affected him mentally. He decided to get rid of some of his frustration by sending the police on a wild goose chase,' and the investigator added that no evidence was found to harm the Chief Minister.
