Minor girl filed a complaint against Her Parents

Hyderabad, June 5: Here an 11 yrs old teenage girl has lodged a complaint against her mother and stepfather for forcing to do labor work here on Sunday.

While coming to details, The victim N. Rani(11), approached SR Nagar police and informed them about the abuse meted out by her parents. She has shown them injury under her left eye after her mother beat her up with an iron object.

Rani's mother Pushpa got separated from her husband and has been living with one Anki Reddy in Rajahmundry and they moved to Hyderabad some time back. After the woman got two daughters with Anki Reddy, Rani was pulled out of school and made to work for extra income.

"They both scold me and beat me often. They make me work outside, at an internet center, and they take away the money," she said.

The SR Nagar Police Inspector Md Waheeduddin said they have not registered any case and that the matter was sorted out after counseling the mother of the girl.

However, NGO Balala Hakkula Sangham president Achyuta Rao demanded action against the mother. "It is a cognizable offense. How can the cops just compromise the case?" he said.
