Hyderabad, June 3: The Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao government sanctioned Rs 10 lakh to a youth who lost his limbs during Telangana movement in support of the separate state, here on Friday.

Nagaraju belongs to Garidepally Mandal in Suryapet District. He attempted suicide by jumping before a moving train in Miraylaguda, lost both his legs and a hand, on August 15, 2011.

A Statement from the Chief Minister's Office said 'After the formation of Telangana KCR decided to Sanction Financial assistance for him. KCR sanctioned the assistance to Pidamarthi Nagaraju of Rayanigudem village in Garidepally block of Nalgonda district.'

On the third formation day of Telangana state, Leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Peddapalli Mp Suman, GHMC Mayor Bonthu RamMohan, MLC's Karne Prabhakar, TSIIC Chairman Baalamallu, Telangana State Technical Services Corporation Dr.Chirumalla Rakesh, TRS Leader Maareddy Srinivasa Reddy presented the check to Nagaraju on Friday.
