Contract Nurse Posts to be filled

Hyderabad, May 31st: The Department of Medical Health is planning to recruit 2,000 nurses in the contract or outsourcing scheme required to implement the 'KCR KIT' scheme.

The appointment is expected at the district level and going to hand over to the collectors.

About 200 doctors have already been appointed under the National Health Mission (NHM) and going to recruit more people, sources said.

Officials are making arrangements in a quick process as the staff for KCR KIT scheme are insufficient. The primary health center (PHC) and the Social Health Center (CHC) have decided to utilize the services of local private doctors in case of a shortage of doctors. This responsibility was also handed over to the collectors.

However, the state health department is in the process of launching the KCR KIT scheme from June 3rd. The decided to open a call center at the state level for receiving complaints from pregnant women, and also to establish a nodal system in the districts.

Under the scheme, Rs 12,000 were going to give for pregnant women who will come to delivery in government hospitals, another Rs. 1000 will be added for pregnant women who gives birth to a Girl. Also, they have been decided to give 16 items For a newborn child. About 2.70 lakh pregnant women have already registered their names for this scheme.
