KCR given nod to 20000 teacher posts

Hyderabad May 31: Telangana chief minister
K.Chandrasekhar Rao has issued orders to fill up 20,000 posts in various educational institutions across the state, including 7,300 teacher posts in new residential schools for which a notification was already issued.

This will be the biggest recruitment drive taken up by any state government at one go.

KCR held a review meeting here in Pragati Bhavan along with deputy chief minister Kadiam Srihari, ministers T Nageswara Rao, G Jagadish Reddy and public service commission chairman G Chakrapani, the chief minister instructed them to begin the process for the appointment of people in educational institutions within a week.

The CM said the govt had accorded permission for filling up of 20,000 vacancies and wanted the Telangana Public Service Commission to immediately issue notifications in this regard.

The CM wanted completion of appointments in Kasturba Gandhi Girls Vidyalayas in the state. There are 84 KBGV schools that came up in the state, and there is a need to fill up 1428 posts -840 teaching and 588 non-teaching posts. The government has already given permission for the appointments and they need to be completed soon, KCR said.
