IIT: Girls study better than boys

Delhi, May 29: A good news for girls. IIT Delhi has a conducted a survey regarding the marks of girls who joined the Indian Institute of Technology after qualifying the exam.
The main highlights of the survey are
* Girl students have secured more marks than boys.
* Very few girls join these institutes.
* 20% of seats in colleges can be reserved for girls
* Many parents don't encourage their girls because of long distance travel.
The survey was conducted by studying the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) obtained by the students who passed out in all IITS from 2003-2015.
Let's hope that the central government accepts the suggestion of the committee so that more women can study in Indias top Engineering colleges.
