Uttam challenges KCR

Hyderabad, May 29: The TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS government has failed in all the sectors and the people are ready to reject the TRS party. He challenged KCR to win in the by-elections.

Uttam said that A day after Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao, stated on the basis of a survey that his party would win 111 seats in the next election, TPCC president, Uttam Kumar Reddy, pegged down this figure to just 11. "The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will not even win 11 seats", he said.

The KCR's surveys are all bogus surveys, Reddy said KCR kept holding such surveys at periodic intervals "to boost the morale of his party cadre." If he was so sure of his party's victory, why was he then violating the anti-defection law, he adding "Let him make those who defected to TRS from other parties resign and contest again."

Speaking to media here on Sunday, the TPCC chief refused to say how many seats the Congress would win in the coming elections. He demands KCR to win in the by-elections.

The ground reality, Reddy said, was that the farmers were waiting for an opportunity to vote out the TRS government as they were not getting remunerative price for their produce. The unemployed youth were seething with anger and wanted to teach a lesson to the ruling party.

The TPCC chief's plea to media persons to give fair treatment to his statement angered some scribes. They wanted to know why at every press conference he kept seeking media cooperation when his party was receiving good coverage.

At this, a visibly upset Reddy said the 'Telangana media' carried banner headlines of the "bogus survey while his rebuttal would be buried inside."

Later he tried to lighten the mood and said all he wanted was appropriate coverage.
