UP Police not allowed Rahul Gandhi

Lucknow, May 26: Here the Uttar Pradesh police are not allowed the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to visit Saharanpur district here on Friday, which has been raging issue of caste violence.

SSP Saharanpur "informed that Sri Rahul Gandhi has not been given permission to visit Saharanpur," UP Police spokesperson Rahul Srivastava said. Mr.Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to visit on Saturday. The BJP accused the Congress leader of trying to politicize the recent violence in the West UP district.

"Peace was restored in Saharanpur but the situation worsened after Mayawati's visit. Now tragedy tourist Rahul Gandhi is preparing to visit," said UP cabinet minister Shrikant Sharma.

Mr. Sharma said there was "a conspiracy" against the Yogi government to cause disorder in West UP. "An attempt is being made to instigate the youth," he said.
