Owaisi hails Telangana CM

Hyderabad, May 25: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party supremo has praised the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Shekhar Rao here on Wednesday.

The AIMIM president has hailed the 3-year outstanding rule of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), government, and he said that the most remarkable thing was that there was not a single case of corruption or even charge against it.

The social welfare schemes launched by the TS govt had endeared it to people. "Chandra Shekhar Rao remains immensely popular", Owaisi said.

The AIMIM president also said that the Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, would fulfill all the promises he had made. However, provision of 12 per cent reservation to Muslims was a big challenge.

"The BJP will definitely challenge it in court and I hope KCR will fight the legal battle," Owaisi told to media

He felt the BJP chief, Amit Shah, was living in a fool's paradise by thinking that Telangana would become the gateway for his party's entry into the south. This was not going to happen.

The social welfare schemes launched by the TRS government were having a big impact and should see it through the next election, he said.

"The BJP is unable to pin down KCR as he was evenly handling all communities without giving a chance for complaint," he added.
