"Maa Bhumi Maa Panta" app for Farmers

Hyderabad, May 23: Here is the good news for the farmers, as they are getting the new APP.This app is launched by the Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy here on Monday.

Looking into the matter, The App is entitled as " Maa Bhumi Maa Panta" it was launched on Sunday, which provides the all the information about the agriculture problems etc.

Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Monday handed over a Samsung Tablet and a finger scanner marking the formal launch of digital conversion of field data.

All the 1,787 AEOs in the State will be handed over the digital gadgets in three phases which would be completed by this month end. In the first phase, 10 districts – Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem – will be covered.



As part of its efforts to strengthen the farm sector and ensure its economic empowerment, the State government decided to provide Tablets to the AEOs who would use it to upload data and pictures/videos directly from the fields which would help them in briefing the farmers on how to improve the crop yield.

The App will be downloaded on the Tablets and the survey details can be fed into the main server through the App.

"The Tablets will be connected to the central server and data regarding the quality of soil in a particular region, crops advisable during any season and other details will be available on hand. These details can be passed on to the farmers and it will help them in planning," the Minister said.
