Parents urged CM KCR to regulate school fee hike

Hyderabad, May 21: The team members of Hyderabad Schools Parents Association (HPSA) have arranged a sticker campaign and urged the CM KCR to regulate school fee hike at Panjagutta here on Saturday.

Parents who turned up in large numbers at Panjagutta X Road on Saturday posted close to 3000 stickers on cars, autos, buses which read 'CM Sir Please, Regulate School Fees' and 'CM Sir, Please Stop the #SchoolFeeLoot'.

According to the HSPA, Traffic Police denied permission citing various reasons but it went ahead with the campaign without hindering the traffic. Seeing this, the police relented and allowed the campaign, the HSPA said.

Parents demanded the government to immediately bring an ordinance to regulate school fee and also demanded the government to stay the fee hike for the academic year 2017-18.

The committee headed by Prof T Tirupati Rao, former vice-chancellor, Osmania University was of the view that recommendations put forwarded by it should be implemented from this academic year itself.

"The report has been finalized and will be sumbitted in next couple of days," Tirupati Rao said.
