SP SIngh: Huge applications to Single Women pension

Hyderabad May 20: Telangana chief secretary SP Singh on Friday said that the Single woman applications have received 1,38,338 till on Thursday evening.

While going to details, around 29332 applications from cities and from rural 1,09006 are received, he said in the statement.

The last date of the scheme is May 21, from this perspective few more applications will be received until the end of the date, he added.

The single women to get Rs 1,000 monthly pension.



Applications are accepted in all the 1,000 ‘Mee Seva’ centers, 30 deputy commissioner offices, and 31 tahsildar offices.

Singh also directed the officials to help beneficiaries open a new bank account once they qualify for the pension. "A letter should be written addressing the SLBC convener to open bank accounts on the recommendation of GHMC officials to facilitate timely distribution of pensions," he said.
