Railway Police seized suspicious bags

Kharagpur, May 18: The Railway police have seized a cash of Rs.1 crore in the East Coast Express train, which was coming from Secunderabad to Howrah here on Wednesday.

In the case, the train was stopped in Kharagpur railway station on Tuesday night, The passengers in S9 coach told that they have found two suspicious bags in the coach.

They captured bags were brought to the Government Railway Police (GPP) headquarters and opened those bags.

The Police suspected that The robbers had traveled with the Stolen things, the situation is unlikely to escape with the bags then they left the train.

In this aspect, SRP SP Amit Kumar Singh spoke to reporters on Wednesday. The bags were valued at Rs 10 lakh, cash, foreign currency, silver, gold jewelry, laptop, tab and other items.

Basic assessment is that there is a value of Rs.1 crore in the bag, the courier letter was investigated based on the phone number. It is said that one person was found robbed in Secunderabad. When everyone in the house was handed over to the worker and went to the tour, the worker was decided to steal them.The accused thief would be from West Bengal, he added.
