KCR first big meet with cops in May

Hyderabad, May 17: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, in a first of its kind initiative, will interact with police officers from various levels at a State level extended conference with the police at Pragathi Bhavan on May 19.

While going to matter, On Tuesday CM KCR had held a meeting with DGP Anurag Sharma and other officers.

The conference will be based on law and order for the conference.

One of the senior IPS officers said that around 1600 persons will be attending this conference.



The Chief Minister has instructed the Director General of Police Anurag Sharma to invite police officers – from Sub Inspector level to the DGP – from all departments including law and order for the conference. Observing that Telangana State police had earned a good reputation across the country in maintaining law and order,

KCR said the officers should come prepared with proper information and data on various issues including the condition of police stations, infrastructure, status and measures required to control anti-social activities like sale of gudumba (Illicit liquor), gambling, drugs, trafficking of women and prostitution.
